I don’t know at what point it’s too late in the new year to be reviewing the previous year, but here’s to breaking the norm and throwing the rule book out the window!
2017 was a big year for me, probably one of the most life changing for me.
I left the British Army after serving nearly 11 years, I always said I would stay until I stopped enjoying it and that probably happened about 3 years before I actually left, so it was the right time and a decision I do not regret.
Saying that, I did join the Army Reserves, a completely new corps, The Royal Armoured Corps to be exact and I’ve loved it all so far, new challenges and meeting new people from all walks of life!
I raised £3600 for The Stars Appeal (read HERE why) which went to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Salisbury District Hospital and was apart of a 36 strong team that trekked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, where as a team we raised over £100,000 for the charity!
I had the balls to quit two jobs that no longer worked for me, cut friends out of my life that were no longer good for me, but in the process made amazing new friends that I feel have been in my life forever.
I qualified as an exercise referral instructor after pulling an all nighter the night I returned from holiday to get my coursework finished in time for my assessment the next morning!
I also qualified as a Level 1 powerlifting coach and a Level 1 CrossFit Trainer, two qualifications I’m pretty proud of.
I represented the Army, Wales and Great Britain in Powerlifting, competing in Ireland for the 4 Nations competition and Boston for the World Championships, where I finished an unexpected amazing 2nd place!!
I dealt with my husband being away the majority of the year, this was hard, real hard and at times I thought it would have just been easier to give up on our marriage than fight through it.
On the flip side of that, the rare time we did get together we tried to make the most of it, and we did have some good quality family time.
I became a retained firefighter for Wiltshire and Dorset Fire and Rescue Service and overall became physically and mentally stronger as a result of a very demanding year!
Who cares that it’s 27th Feb 2018, thank you to those that made my life fuller and richer in 2017, you rock!
I started with Aishlen six weeks after having my second baby and loved the fact that she understood how difficult it is to get back into exercise after a c section especially. She helped me break several bad eating habits and made me revaluate what I was eating. I never feel like I'm on a diet or going without, just being healthier. She's always so positive and never makes you feel bad if you have a bad eating day. Would definitely recommend.
I’ve known Aishlen now since 2014 and she is the most energetic, outgoing person I know! Having struggled for a number of years with injury and everything that comes with it, I went to Aishlen for help. I initially saw her for individual PT sessions and nutrition and saw and felt a difference within a couple of weeks. Due to work commitments I had to stop going, however, enlisted her help again a month ago for some online personal training. I am now happy with the nutrition side of things but still needed something to follow in the gym. I received a month long programme which I have nearly completed apart from one session and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The sessions are progressive and easy to follow and I am excited about the next month ahead with my second online programme. Aishlen is always on hand to provide advice and guidance where required and nothing is too much hassle for her. I loved every session with Aishlen. Her knowledge and enthusiasm make for a great basis and I've felt supported the whole way. First of all, before I continue my review I must just say a massive thank you to Aishlen for helping me motivate myself back into a health & fitness regime.
I reached out to Aishlen a few months ago, just for some simple tips, advice and information on how I could not only lose a bit of weight but gain fitness and most importantly adopt a healthy food plan. And Aishlen was more than happy to guide me.
She asked me a bunch of questions about my lifestyle without being invasive and made me comfortable to answer honestly and then she tailored the right kind of plan to my day to day needs. Once that was in place, I got the ball rolling. Aishlen would check in on me a good few times a week to see how I was getting on without being pushy, always made sure I was comfortable with the work out plans she had given me to do in the week and see how I was adjusting to the food plans also. She'd also give me her own extra tips on what she enjoys eating without sacrificing all of the goodies we women love to enjoy.
Once a week then she would have me write down my measurements of bust, weight, hips & thighs. And each week I got to see the difference that Aishlen's plan was making in my body shape.
Aishlen has been fantastic and I strongly recommend her for anyone. Whether you're looking to lose weight, become lean or simply need a new approach to your eating habits. She has the skills to help no matter the individual circumstances.

WOW! I have been training for a little while on my own at home! And I made a big difference! I asked Aishlen for some advice on how to shift some podge around the belly and tone up more! She fully understands that I have two small children and me and my partner both work! So she helped me rewrite the program I was doing and taught me how I should eat! I have only been doing this one week and although there has been times I really didn't like Aishlen at all because it was hard it was so worth it! You are amazing thank you so much!
